| Lorin Moench Jr. Retires from ALB Board after Serving Two Terms The American Lamb Board‘s (ALB) Chairman Lorin Moench Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, retired at the 2011 annual convention. Moench was appointed to the board in 2005 as a large producer with inventory of greater than 500 ovine animals. During his five years on the board, he played a very active role as ALB’s treasurer, vice chairman and chairman. ALB will greatly miss Moench’s leadership, expertise and wisdom. His passion for the industry and his kind, warm personality brought the board, staff and contractors together to work as a team to promote American lamb. Moench always encouraged all board members to share their perspectives and opinions to make sure the board made sound and unified decisions that would be good for all sectors of the industry. “Lorin was very devoted to the lamb board and always knew how to get everyone thinking, trying to come up with that home-run campaign for American lamb. We will miss his great leaderships and thoughtfulness.” |
