Peter Orwick, (See attached photo) executive director of the American Sheep Industry Association, was recognized for a decade of service to the U.S. sheep industry at the annual board of directors meeting in Las Vegas. While presenting the gift of appreciation, Burdell Johnshon (l), ASI president, listed some of the many accomplishments the industry has enjoyed during Orwick’s tenure as executive director. Several of those accomplishments include uniting ASI and the National Lamb Feeders Association, the creation of the sheep center and the American lamb checkoff, the American Wool Trust, the successful 201 trade case and the new sheep programs in the recent Farm Bills.
