| NAHMS 2011 Sheep Study (February 1, 2010) The National Animal Health Monitoring System (NAHMS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is asking sheep producers for assistance with the 2011 sheep study. NAHMS is currently soliciting input on important issues now facing the U.S. sheep industry. Producers are being asked to provide their insight to these issues by participating in the NAHMS needs assessment. The NAHMS 2011 sheep study assessment has begun and will continue into February. The study objectives will be developed based on information collected and prioritized through the needs assessment process. The NAHMS Program Unit conducts national studies on the health and health management of U.S. domestic livestock and poultry populations. Results from previous sheep- and goat-related studies are available for viewing at www.aphis.usda.gov/vs/ceah/ncahs/nahms/. |
