(January 1, 2008)  An Australian-designed men's business suit that can be washed in the shower could be on the market by early next year. It has been designed by Australian Wool Innovation Limited, the group responsible for marketing and promoting Australian wool growers.

Global product development manager, Jimmy Jackson, says the suit is made from Australian Merino wool and has been designed for the Japanese market. He says laundering in the shower will remove 80 percent of everyday soiling.

"Put in on a hanger as normal and then go to the shower, set the shower around 100 degrees Fahrenheit," he said. "You douse the suit with soap and water for about three or four minutes then hang it up to dry.

"It takes about two hours to dry, and it needs very little ironing."
