Mid-States Wool Selects New General Manager
(August 1, 2008) Jim Brandt, president of Mid-States Wool Board of Directors, announced that David Rowe from London, Ohio, has been selected as the general manager of Mid-States Wool Growers. Rowe has been involved in many levels of the cooperative form of doing business for more than 18 years.
While his previous employment has been in grain marketing, he has extensive experience in strategic planning, relationship management, sales, program development, employee relations and contract development.
“He comes into Mid-States with a wealth of experience that should be a real strength for our organization,” according to Brandt.
Rowe received his bachelor’s degree at The Ohio State University and his master’s degree in animal science at Texas A&M. While in Texas, he served as the manager of the sheep center for the university and served an internship with the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. Currently, he has a club lamb flock and is a member of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and the Ohio Club Lamb Association.
Rowe says, “I am excited about the opportunities this new position will provide and am looking forward to meeting with all the producers and wool buyers in the next few months.” |
